Since his brother, James "J Dilla" Yancey's untimely passing in 2006, his younger brother Illa J has set about preserving his brother's legacy through music. After dropping Yancey Boys, a collaboration project featuring tracks from his late, great brother's treasure trove of beats and a few singles here and there, young Yancey is poised to step from out of his brother's shadow with his upcoming EP, 4 Past Midnite. Due out on Ne'astra Music Group, the EP's first single, "Affair" just hit the 'net. Produced by Young RJ, the smoothed out number features Illa J waxing poetic about the downside of being in a long distance relationship.
